My name is Liat Kalev and I study textile design with a Specialization in knitwear at shenkar college of engineering and design.

As a child who grew up close to nature, it has been my main source of inspiration since I can remember. 

My skills range from free-form hand knitting, embroidery, industrial & manual machine knitting, illustrating, photoshopping, fabric printing and sewing. Basically, if it has anything do with textiles and using my hands either I'm doing it, or I just didn't have the chance to learn it yet.

 

Coming from a transformative point of view, one of the fields that interest me most is the field of smart textiles; being able to redefine human-textile and textile-technology Interaction and to take part in the wave of the e-textile revolution is what I aspire to do.
